The beautiful coastal settlement of Barbati is situated 17 km north of Corfu Town. It lies around the natural bay, and has one of the most impressive beaches of Corfu, huged by the lush green forests and verdurous hills. The beach itself is quite inviting for its crystalline waters and the white shiny pebbles. In the past it was actually awarded with the Blue Flag for its cleanness and organization. At the beach you will find plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and watersports facilities. Small tour boats are also available for a short and exciting trip to the nearby bays. Taverns and bars dominate the wider area serving delicious Corfiot dishes and cold drinks.
Kalami is considered one of Corfu’s most picturesque spots located 30km from the main town. The beach that lies in front of the settlement comprises white shiny pebbles and turquoise waters. The village of Kassiopi lies 38 km north of Corfu Town, opposite the Albanian coasts. This small picturesque fishing village counts 1200 inhabitants and is dominated by a Roman fortress, near where it is believed that the Emperor Nero once stood. Today, Kassiopi is a cosmopolitan town with several taverns, cafes, bars and facilities offering accomondation. There are numerous bays around the village. Coming from the west, the beaches are tiny, windy, full of loungers and not very pleasant. Behind them at the main road you will find the usual resort shops and many cafes. The headland contains nicer pebbly beaches, where water sports are available as well as an abandoned castle to visit. Beyond this is a small fishing port that retains its picturesque character.
Kouloura is a picturesque fishing village located 30 km south of Corfu town and 7km from the beautiful village of Kalami. The area is recognized by its undulating lush tree forests and the wonderful crystalline bay. Despite its small size, sunbeds cover the biggest part of the beach whereas trees offer a nice alternative inviting you to relax under the cool shade. At the right side of the beach is the picturesque port where several boats moor. This idyllic beach offers a great swimming experience and quite pleasant moments. A couple of taverns are found within a short walking distance from the natural bay.
